Attention all program registrants: All programs require pre-registration for the forseeable future. There will be no drop-in programs. Please be advised all programs will take place outdoors with social distancing and face masks are recommended to be available for use.

 

Programs listed in the calendar are for individuals and families. If you have a group, such as scouts, that would like a program, please contact the Estuary Center or complete and return our Program Request Form.

Kooky, Crazy Cormorants - Kayak

iNaturalist Trek

07/18/2020 @ 11:00 am-12:00 pmTap into your inner naturalist! Use the iNaturalist app while searching Leight Park for interesting plants and animals and help us collect biodiversity data. Learn how you can utilize this program on other outdoor adventures.

Critter Dinner Time

Invasinators

07/19/2020 @ 9:00 am-11:00 amBecome part of a volunteer team of invasive plant removers and native plant restorers. Learn why non-native invasive plants are a threat to our ecosystem, how to identify problem plants, and removal and restoration strategies. Wear sturdy shoes, long sleeves, and work gloves for field work in the Reserve each meeting date, weather permitting.

Hammer into History

07/19/2020 @ 3:00 pm-4:30 pmReview the basics of geology, identify rocks, and crack into the geologic secrets hidden inside the rocks and stones found along Otter Point Creek.
