The Otter Point Creek Alliance
The Otter Point Creek Alliance is the nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of the research, education and conservation goals of the Otter Point Creek Component of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Maryland. Ways in which the Otter Point Creek Alliance supports the Reserve are by promoting environmental education of school children and the general public, offering volunteer opportunities, supporting research projects, sponsoring college internships, and promoting stewardship and conservation in the Reserve and surrounding area.
You can become a member of the Otter Point Creek Alliance and support the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center and the Otter Point Creek Component.
Fill out and mail an Otter Point Creek Alliance Membership Form to join! Membership benefits include quarterly newsletter and calendar mailed to your home plus 20% off public programs. We are a 501(c) corporation and therefore membership fees are tax deductible.
Membership Types and Benefits
$8/yr - Senior, Student, or Active Volunteer Individual – Basic Benefits
$12/yr - Individual, Senior Couple or Active Volunteer Family (2 family members volunteer) (spring peeper) – Basic Benefits
$20/yr - Family (spotted salamander) – Basic Benefits for the whole family
$50/yr - Contributing (yellow perch) – Basic Benefits plus recognition in the Otter’s Tale AND an invitation to the Donor’s Open House
$100/yr - Sustaining (eastern painted turtle) – Contributing Benefits plus a bag of (age appropriate) gift shop goodies ($10 value) or a $10 gift certificate on programs.
$500/yr - Patron (wood duck) – Sustaining Benefits plus personal kayak or canoe trip for four AND a personalized picture of you with one of our Discovery Room critters.
$1,000/yr - Benefactor (river otter) – Patron Benefits plus recognition on the OPCA website AND a private pontoon boat trip
$10,000 (one time donation) - Legacy – (osprey) – Benefactor Benefits plus a dedicated bench (or canoe) in the park and lifetime membership
