The Otter Point Creek Alliance
The Otter Point Creek Alliance is the nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of the research, education and conservation goals of the Otter Point Creek Component of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Maryland. Ways in which the Otter Point Creek Alliance supports the Reserve are by promoting environmental education of school children and the general public, offering volunteer opportunities, supporting research projects, sponsoring college internships, and promoting stewardship and conservation in the Reserve and surrounding area.
You can become a member of the Otter Point Creek Alliance and support the Anita C. Leight Estuary Center and the Otter Point Creek Component.
Fill out and mail an Otter Point Creek Alliance Membership Form to join! Membership benefits include quarterly newsletter and calendar mailed to your home plus 20% off public programs. We are a 501(c) corporation and therefore membership fees are tax deductible.

Join us and get the scoop on poop as we conduct pellet (deer scat) counts out on the trails to determine how many deer call us home.

- Intro to Geographic Information Systems (GIS)03/13/2010 @ 12:30 pm-4:00 pmLearn how to use "Map Window", a free GIS program, to view and analyze Otter Point Creek data. Essential GIS introductory material wil be covered, but the focus will be on using GIS data available from a number of web sources. Take a short hike to "ground truth" some of our results. This program is for teens and adults involved in volunteer research and monitoring.
