The Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Maryland
is managed and funded through a partnership of federal, state, local
and nonprofit agencies. These agencies work together to promote
stewardship, research and education of estuarine ecosystems.
NOAA administers the National Estuarine Research Reserve System
MD-DNR manages Maryland's Reserve, the Chesapeake Bay National
Estuarine Research Reserve - MD. There are three components to
Maryland's Reserve, Monie Bay, Jug Bay, and Otter Point Creek.
Harford County Parks and Recreation operates the Anita C. Leight
Estuary Center and Leight Park.
Izaak Walton League of America - Harford County Chapter owns the
Bosely Conservancy.
The Otter Point Creek Alliance is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to the support of research, education and conservation
goals of the Otter Point Creek component.
